What are the advantages to having a reflective roof?
A reflective roof is a white or lightly-colored roof that reflects the sun’s rays, minimizing heat gain and resulting in less energy use when cooling a building. You’ll enjoy a fast return on investment, possible rebates and/or tax credits, and long-term protection and peace of mind. In fact, many of our customers see a complete return on investment in just 7 years.
Reflective roofs can also reduce “urban heat islands”, where temperatures increase in concentrated areas because of the large amount of radiant heat from dark surfaces. An increase in temperatures in urban areas often contributes to increased energy demands, smog, and other pollution.
What does ENERGY-STAR rated mean?
The Environmental Protection Agency promotes reflective roofs because of their energy efficiency. For low-slope products to qualify, the roofing material must reflect 65 percent of the sun’s radiation. Five years after installation, the roof must still reflect at least 50 percent of the sun’s heat.
What type of maintenance if required for your roofing systems?
Generally, maintenance consists of semi-annual inspections to detect potential problems, and a once-a-year cleaning to remove any dirt or debris that might affect the reflective quality of the roof.
What are your warranty terms?
Warranty terms vary by product. The MR System has a 12-year warranty, and we offer additional warranties of up to 20 years. Some warranties include labor and materials and are not pro-rated. Some of the roof systems can be recoated and warranties renewed repeatedly.

Do you provide services for residential roofs?
We can construct or restore residential flat roofs or sloped metal roofs, but we do not work on sloped shingle roofs.
